‘Don’t try giving Hearts of Oak and Kotoko major amount in betpawa deal’ – Alhaji Grunsah warns Ghana Football Association

King Faisal owner, Alhaji Grunsah has warned the Ghana Football Association (GFA) against giving Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko more money than the other clubs from the Betpawa partnership.

The Ghana FA on Wednesday, unveiled the betting company as the official headline sponsor of the Ghana Premier League for the next three seasons.

Betpawa will inject $6 million into the top-flight league, 2 million for every season.

It is unknown how the Ghana FA will disburse the money and the amount each club would receive.

Grunsah is calling for equal share of the funds irrespective of the pedigree of the clubs.

“They cannot tell us that nonsense. If they are big clubs, they are big clubs in their home. I’m going to find out from the Football Association and if this is true they will see something.”Alhaji Grusah in an with Angel FM Accra.

”I’m calling on the clubs, let’s all not sit and allow this thing to happen. If they are big clubs then we will all boycott the league for them to play the league alone,”

The Betpawa Premier League is set to kickstart on the weekend on September 9.
