DONE DEAL! Erling Haaland to Man City set to be completed

Manchester City’s protracted search for a natural successor to Sergio Aguero, who joined FC Barcelona on a free transfer last summer, is expected to come to an end in the coming weeks.

Officials from the Etihad are likely to complete their chase of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, who will join the club ahead of the new season and begin training with his new boss and teammates in pre-season.

While there was no need to discuss a fee with Borussia Dortmund because of the player’s £63 million release clause in his contract, others questioned if negotiations with the player’s representation would go well.

According to their sources in Germany, Erling Haaland to Manchester City is now a ‘done deal,’ according to a breaking report on Monday morning.

According to David Ornstein of the Athletic, Haaland’s move to the Etihad Stadium should be finalized by either party this week, with personal terms discussed and concluded last month between Manchester City and the player’s side.

Furthermore, Borussia Dortmund is expecting a formal notification from Manchester City in the ‘days ahead’ that they will pay the money necessary to trigger Erling Haaland’s contract release clause.

Erling Haaland is believed to be Manchester City’s first significant acquisition of the summer transfer season, in which the Etihad Stadium is hoping to add to Pep Guardiola’s team in a variety of areas.

The 21-year-old is likely to become one of Manchester City’s highest-paid players, but club officials have stressed in recent weeks that his arrival would not disrupt the first-team squad’s compensation structure.

Erling Haaland might earn up to £500,000 per week if performance-related incentives and other stipulations are included.
