It’s third against fourth in the Swedish Allsvenskan this weekend, as Djurgarden welcome Hammarby to Tele2 Arena on Sunday afternoon.
The two sides are locked on 21 points in the table, with third-place Djurgarden leading fourth-place Hammarby on goal difference.

With the top two – Hacken and AIK – on 24 points, Djurgarden and Hammarby will both be eager to claim all three points this weekend in order to keep the pressure on the frontrunners.
Djurgarden head into Sunday’s clash on the back of a dominant 5-2 victory over Sundsvall. Not only did they rack up 19 shots, but they also enjoyed 64% possession.
Djurgarden have now won three of their last four Allsvenskan games, scoring over 3.5 goals in each of those victories.
As a result, Djurgarden are the top scorers in the division – having netted 25 goals in 12 games this season (2.1 goals per game).
Djurgarden are unbeaten in their last six home league games. When you look at the bigger picture, they have lost just three of their previous 21 Allsvenskan games on home soil.
Having scored over 1.5 goals in each of their past seven home league encounters, Djurgarden will be confident of dispatching Hammarby.
As for Hammarby, they held high-flying Hacken to a 2-2 draw last time out. That means they have failed to win any of their last three games in all competitions.
Hammarby made a hugely impressive start to the season, racking up five straight wins in April before drawing with Malmo.
However, they have only managed to win one of their last six Allsvenskan outings – recording three draws and two losses along the way.
On a brighter note, only one team has conceded fewer Allsvenskan goals than Hammarby since the start of the campaign.
Head-to-head: When these two sides last met in 2021, Djurgarden thrashed Hammarby 4-1. However, that was their first win over Hammarby in eight attempts.
Five of the past seven meetings between Djurgarden and Hammarby have produced over 2.5 goals, so we should get a high-scoring match on Sunday.
Team news: With five and four goals, respectively, Joel Asoro and Victor Edvardsen are the ones to watch for Djurgarden.
As for Hammarby, Williot Swedberg has bagged five goals this season. Meanwhile, Nahir Besara has scored four.
If the recent meetings between these two sides are anything to go by, Sunday’s clash should be a high-scoring affair.
