Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot has outlined how he feels the Red Devils can address their poor recent form.
It has been a season to forget for Manchester United. One that started out fresh off what looked an excellent summer transfer window, has since descended into chaos on all fronts.
The Reds are out of every cup competition and now very unlikely to even secure a top-four place in the Premier League.
Dalot, though, has suggested that he and his United teammates need simply be more ‘mature’, ‘energetic’ and, overall, ‘want it more’:
“I think it’s a lesson to be honest. Some people might say bad luck and some people might say we’re not playing well. I completely understand the frustration of the fans who travelled so far to watch the game,” the Portuguese full-back told MUTV.
“It’s hard to go in the end and thank them for what they did during the 90 minutes, but I think this is a lesson for everyone.
“We need to mature everyone in terms of the team and we need to be more energetic, to want it more than them and dominate, I think that starts from our efforts everyday.
“It’s not just hope on the Saturday afternoon that things come for themselves, you play for Man United but you need to do things right, that’s the standard that I’ve learned since I’ve been here.”

Manchester United flop again
Dalot’s comments come after Manchester United’s dismal showing versus Arsenal on Saturday.
Ralf Rangnick’s men looked abject defensively once again, and could easily have conceded more had it not been for the poor finishing of Eddie Nketiah.
The result, meanwhile, guided Arsenal up to 4th and six points clear of United with just five games to play.
