Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Udi Didi Dramani has placed mental recovery at the centre of his preparations ahead of Saturday’s Ghana Premier League meeting with Nations FC.
The Phobians are back at the Legon Sports Stadium looking to bounce back after a frustrating outing on the road last weekend.
Hearts suffered a 2-0 defeat to Karela United at the Aliu Mahama Stadium, a result that stalled their momentum.
Dramani insists the focus has shifted away from the disappointment of the previous match and toward rebuilding confidence and clarity within the squad.
“I think first of all is to see to the psyching of the team, to see to it that we are refocusing and resetting our mentality in terms of what is ahead of us in a marathon competition,” Dramani told Hearts TV.
“It means that every week is a new event and so it’s just an opportunity to resetting our mentality for what is in front of us.”
Hearts of Oak have amassed 21 points from 13 matches, with five wins, six draws and two defeats, leaving them level with Asante Kotoko and Samartex as the title picture gradually sharpens.
With Aduana FC currently leading the table on 27 points, Hearts know a positive result on Saturday could reignite their push and steady their campaign at a crucial stage of the season.
