Ghanaian defender Denis Odoi has completed a free transfer to Dutch Eredivisie side NAC Breda, signing a deal that runs until the end of the season with an option for an extra year.
The move sees Odoi reunite with fellow Ghana international Kamal Sowah, reigniting a partnership last seen during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
NAC Breda confirmed the signing in an official announcement, stressing that Odoi’s arrival brings much-needed stability to a defence hit by multiple injuries. His versatility, leadership and top-level experience were key factors behind the club’s decision.
Odoi, 37, arrives with a rich résumé, having played for Club Brugge, Royal Antwerp and Fulham, in addition to earlier spells with KSC Lokeren, Sint-Truiden and OH Leuven. He is also a product of the Anderlecht, Genk and OH Leuven youth systems.
He is expected to walk straight into the Breda setup as they work to reinforce their defensive structure in the weeks ahead.
