Denis Odoi and Kamal Sowah out of UEFA Champions League as Benfica disgraces Club Brugge 7-1 —

Ghana duo of Denis Odoi and Kamal Sowah have exited the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League competition after their Club Brugge side was dismantled 5-1 by Benfica on Tuesday night.

This means the Belgian outfit lost both legs in their round of 16 clashes with the Portuguese giants as they have exited the competition on a 7-1 aggregate loss.

Sowah started the game for Brugge and lasted until he was replaced on the 74th-minute mark by Antonio Nusa. Meanwhile, defender Odoi came off the bench to feature for the losers as he took the place of Clinton Mata on the 62nd minute.

Sowah scored 2 goals in 7 appearances for Brugge while Odoi equally featured in 7 games.
