FC Barcelona midfielder Frankie De Jong has sent a message to the club’s supporters as links to Manchester United gather pace.
New Man United manager Erik ten Hag is keen on a reunion with De Jong but in a message, the midfielder made it clear that he’s intent on staying put in Catalonia with his end-of-season Instagram post.
“It has been a disappointing season for us. We couldn’t achieve the goals we set at the beginning. But I want to thank the fans for their support this year. We will work hard to do better next season. Proud to be a cule,” the Dutchman posted.

There have been reports that Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernandez doesn’t want the club to sell the player but that might not happen since the Spanish giants need to sell some of their players for fun summer moves.
Barcelona finished second in La Liga, 13 points behind champions Real Madrid. They did manage to secure Champions League football for next season despite starting the season at a slow pace under Ronald Koeman.
