Darmstadt 98 coach Torsten Lieberknecht says it is too early for Ghanaian forward Aaron Seydel to return to action after illness.
The German-born Ghanaian resumed training last week after his meningitis. Aaron Seydel had to spend days at the hospital due to a serious illness.
Despite his return to training, the coach feels it is too early for the Ghanaian player to return to action.
“It feels like it’s too early,” admitted coach Torsten Lieberknecht, but added: “When you see Aaron, you always have the feeling that ten minutes would pass.” You will look at the next training sessions, talk to the player and then make a decision” said Darmstadt coach Torsten Lieberknecht.
Reacting to the 26-year-old quick recovery after the dangerous illness including a stay in the hospital, he said, “We didn’t know how long it would actually take for Aaron. We rather assumed that he would not be able to get back into it until winter.”
Despite the attacker’s rapid recovery, SV Darmstadt 98 is keeping its eyes open. “We would like to do something,” said the coach. “But we don’t have to get carried away to find something.”
