Ghanaian midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh is set to make a much-anticipated return to action after resuming training with German Bundesliga side SC Freiburg.
Kyereh has been sidelined since February 2023 due to a severe anterior cruciate ligament injury, which forced him to miss the entire 2023/24 season.
However, the 28-year-old has now rejoined his teammates for pre-season training ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
Kyereh’s return is a significant boost for Freiburg, as he was an integral part of the team during his debut season in 2022/23, featuring in 12 matches and scoring two goals.
On the international stage, Kyereh has not represented Ghana since the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
His return to fitness and form could also pave the way for him to reclaim his place in the national team.
