Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly got a £850k bonus for scoring his 60th career hat-trick in Saturday’s 3-2 Premier League victory over Norwich City.
The Portugal international was in the right position at the right time to open the score following a Canary’s defensive blunder, before heading home to double his tally in the first half.
Norwich rallied via Kieran Dowell and Teemu Pukki, but Ronaldo rescued the day in the second half with a wonderfully placed free-kick that boosted United’s top-four aspirations.
According to The Sun, Ronaldo got a £750k bonus for scoring 20 goals in all competitions this season, and an additional £100k for scoring his season’s 21st goal.
