Young Apostles recorded a 3-1 victory over Baffour Soccer Academy to go top of the table in Zone 1B after scoring three beautiful second half goals. Samuel Agyemang gave Baffour Soccer Academy a first half lead but Young Apostles looked much stronger after the interval. Hafiz Bawa got the equalizer for Young Apostles in the 60th minute as Rauf Munah scored the second goal for the home side in the 68th minute before Kassim Sule put the icing on the cake in the 79th minute from a spot kick. Ramzy Abubakar of Young Apostles was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere, Tamale City came out victorious against rivals Steadfast FC with Basit Lamalee scoring the only goal of the game from a spot kick. Mutala Sulemana of Tamale City was named player of the match.
Still in the Zone, leaders Techiman Heroes recorded a 2-0 victory over Victory Club Warriors at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman to maintain their position as Zone 1A leaders. Ebenezer Agyapong scored the first goal for Techiman Heroes in the 19th minute before Akwasi Randoff Nti scored the winning goal for the home side in the 80th minute.
