Aduana FC head coach Cioabă Aristică has shared his delight following his side’s narrow but significant away victory over Heart of Lions.
The Ogya Lads secured a 1-0 triumph at the Kpando Sports Stadium in Friday’s matchday 14 opener of the Ghana Premier League.
Patrick Mensah eventually proved decisive just after the break, squeezing home from a tight angle in the 50th minute to separate the sides in an evenly fought encounter.
Reflecting on the outcome, the Romanian trainer described the fixture as a chess-like battle and praised his players for executing instructions to perfection, earning their third away win of the season.
“I see the confidence from the players, and I told them that if we respect the tactics, we can pick all three points. Congratulations to the players for trusting the plan and going on to win the game.
“Aduana FC, the team is working as a group, and they understand what we need in the game. I’m happy about this win. The game was very tactical, and it was very good,” Aristica Cioaba said.
The victory, Aduana’s eighth of the campaign, lifts them back to the top of the league standings with 27 points.
Attention now shifts to their next challenge against Hearts of Oak, a test that could further define their title credentials as the season unfolds.
