FC Samartex head coach Christopher Ennin has challenged his players to raise both tempo and consistency as attention shifts to the second round of the Ghana Premier League season.
His comments followed Samartex’s slim 1-0 loss to Hearts of Oak at the University of Ghana Stadium, a result that slowed their progress at the halfway stage of the campaign.
Despite the disappointment, Ennin believes the defeat offered key lessons that could shape a better run in the months ahead.
“I’ve learned a lot and we still need to push hard. At least at home, they will get it, but I’m still fighting for the away win and I believe we’ll come back in the second round,” Ennin said.
Samartex currently occupy sixth place on the table with 24 points.
The Legon loss also boosted Hearts of Oak, who moved up to second on 28 points, level with league leaders Aduana FC.
