Ghana coach Chris Hughton has dropped captain Andre Ayew from his starting XI to face Angola’s Palancas Negras in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.

The Nottingham Forest forward will now start from the bench along with Lens midfielder Abdul Samed Salis who arrived late in camp.

Swiss-based goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi gets the nod to start ahead of Jojo Wollacott. The defenders are Denis Odoi, Gideon Mensah, Daniel Amartey, and Alexander Djiku.

Serbia-based Edmund Addo plays the holding midfield role as Thomas Partey is shifted to the No.8 role.

Southampton attacker Kamaldeen Sulemana and Ajax star Mohammed Kudus operate from either side of the wings with Jordan Ayew and Inaki Williams leading the attack.
