Chelsea are expected to make the first two signings of the Todd Boehly era as Jules Kounde is set to make the Stamford Bridge switch, while reports continue to claim that Ousmane Dembele is set to leave Barcelona as a free agent to join the Blues.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have been quiet thus far this transfer window, having only concluded their takeover in May following Roman Abramovich’s sanctions placed upon him by the UK Goverment amid the war in Ukraine.
And they have in fact reduced the strength in their squad, with both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen having left the club on free transfers this summer.
However, they look set to spring into action in the near future, with Goal.com reporting that Jules Kounde remains a ‘primary target’ despite his recent injury, which is not expected to be too serious.
‘Kounde remains Chelsea’s primary target and it is believed they will push to complete the deal as soon as they get feedback that the minor surgery was a success’, they claim.
‘It will leave the Blues able to complete the deal in early July at the latest, giving him a chance to be part of the pre-season group’, it is added.
Chelsea are still on course to sign Jules Kounde despite alarming comments with the France national team. ?
Surgery is minor but needed. He hopes to make pre-season. Both Chelsea and Sevilla were aware of the situation.

Meanwhile, the rumours that Ousmane Dembele will be calling time on his Barcelona career in favour of a Chelsea switch persist, with Spanish outlet Cadena Ser claiming that he has rejected another offer to remain at the Camp Nou this summer.

With that expected to be resolved by the beginning of July one way or another, the next fortnight could see the Blues make their first two major signings of the Todd Boehly regime.
