Nigeria’s coach Eric Chelle expressed disappointment over the suspension of captain Wilfred Ndidi ahead of the semi-final clash with Morocco.
“Without Ndidi, I am disappointed. He brings so much to the team but we are a complete team and confident we shall do something, having a choice to make in his absence with lots of options,” Chelle said.
Ndidi’s suspension is a blow to Nigeria’s midfield, but Chelle is confident in his team’s depth.
Raphael Onyedika is expected to fill the void, having impressed with a brace against Uganda. Nigeria will look to maintain their strong form, having scored 14 goals in the tournament so far.
