A behind-closed-doors friendly against Egyptian giants Al Ahly has been confirmed for the Black Galaxies.
The match is scheduled for Saturday, December 31 at 14:30 GMT.
The Ghana home-based team – currently on a preparatory camp in Cairo for the 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) scheduled for Algeria next month – defeated Egypt’s U-20s in a similarly arranged game last Tuesday.

Al Ahly are expected to field a team dominated by their reserves. This is because they have a crucial Egyptian Premier League home fixture against Pyramids FC fixed for Monday, January 2, 2023.
The 2022 CHAN is exactly two weeks away from kickoff. Algeria will take on neighbours Libya in the opening game on Friday, January 13.
Ghana’s Black Galaxies will begin their campaign in Group C against Madagascar in Constantine two days later. Games against Sudan and defending champions Morocco will then follow.
