In wrapping up preparations for the 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN), Ghana’s Black Galaxies will face Algeria and Mozambique in friendlies.
Coach Annor Walker’s team arrived in Algiers on Tuesday, January 3, after camping in Egypt for 11 days.
During the Cairo training camp, the team engaged in two tune-up games against the Egypt U-20s and local giants Al Ahly. They won both games.
Algeria will host Ghana at the Nelson MANDELA Stadium in Baraki, Algiers instead of Oran where it was originally mooted to be played. Kickoff is 16:00 GMT on Saturday, January 7, 2023.
Next up will be the test against the Mozambicans on January 10.
Currently based in Algiers, the Black Galaxies have another 11 days to fine-tune until the kickoff of their opening match in Group C against Madagascar at 19:00 GMT on January 15. Games against Sudan and defending champions Morocco will follow at four-day intervals. All the group games will be played in Constantine.
