Catania have confirmed they will not be seeking a permanent deal for Ghanaian midfielder Amidu Salifu.

The 20-year-old has made just five starts for Rossazzurri this season since joining on a season’s-long-loan deal from Fiorentina at the beginning of the season.

Catania saddled with scarce resources ahead of the summer’s transfer activities have decided against signing the Ghanaian who has played a total of 14 Serie-A games this term.

Salifu will thus rejoin Fiorentina when his loan deal with Catania expires at the end of the season.
