It proved an evening to remember for all associated with Fulham on Monday, as the Cottagers ran riot to secure the Championship title.
Marco Silva’s troops returned to action a short time ago.
Having already booked their spot back in the Premier League for next season, Fulham welcomed Luton Town to west London, in the knowledge that a 27th victory of the campaign would ensure their status as champions.
And the Cottagers, when all was said and done, went on to secure precisely that… in style.
A rampant display ultimately culminated in Silva and co. emerging on the right side of a 7-0 scoreline, owing to goals on the part of six different players.
Setting the rout in motion was Tom Cairney, before Kenny Tete made it two shortly before the interval.

And the floodgates would soon open, as Fabio Carvalho, set to make the move to Merseyside to link up with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool this summer, provided another glimpse into his immense talents:

Another midfielder currently on the books of Liverpool too took centre stage at Craven Cottage, as the on-loan Harry Wilson racked up a trio of assists to take his tally to a head-turning 19 for the Championship campaign as a whole.
And it was the last of his three on Monday which proved most telling.
This came as Wilson’s perfectly-weighted pass slipped in Aleksandar Mitrovic to make it seven on the night, in the process guiding the prolific Serb beyond Guy Whittingham’s English 2nd-tier record of 42 goals in a single term:
