Dreams FC coach Karim Zito has expressed satisfaction about officiating ahead of the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederations Cup.

The Still Believe lads has made a huge impact in their maiden Africa campaign after defying all odds to reach the quarterfinals of the competition for the first time in history.

Having finished top of their group, they are scheduled to play Stade Malien in Bamako this weekend before the return fixture in Kumasi, a week later.

In an interview with Kessben FM monitored by Footballghana.com, Zito commended match officials for exhibiting top performance in the competition.

“Playing in Africa is fantastic. I played to the highest level during my playing time and have seen a lot of things. As a coach, I led King Faisal to Africa but unfortunately we exited in first round. One of the most important thing in the ongoing season is officiating, the referees are not saint but they are closer to saint because they have performed extremely well”

“I went to Angola and scored three goals, it stood and that gives every team the motivation to perform. The referees have been fair so far and its making the competition better”

Dreams FC are gearing up for the crucial game against Stade Malien on Sunday. The Still Believe lads will depart to Bamako, Mali on Friday for the first leg tie to be staged at the Stade 26 Mars Stadium at 5pm.

The Ghana FA holders will be aiming for a positive result in Mali to make the return leg a mere formality for the Still Believe lads.
