The Ghana Football Association have thrown their weight of support behind Dreams FC ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup fixture against Zamalek FC.
The Ghanaian MTN FA Cup champions will play in the first leg of against the Egyptian giants on Sunday at Cairo Stadium before the reverse encounter in Ghana.
Speaking in an interview Akoma FM, the FA spokesperson Henry Asante Twum stated that the Dawu-based club has convinced football followers in the country that they are capable of taking on Zamalek and therefore deserve the support of the nation.
“Dreams FC have made us proud, and the FA will support them as they face Zamalek in order to reach the finals; what they have done so far indicates that they can do it this time.”
The Still Believe lads have surpassed expectations after defeating Stade Malien 3-2 on aggregate to reach the semi-finals of the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup in their debut season.
The kick off time for the clash between Dreams FC and Zamalek FC is 4pm prompt.
