Bruno Fernandes: Final-day response is a must

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes wants the team to end the season on a high ahead of their last Premier League match.

The Reds were thumped 4-0 at Brighton in the penultimate match of the season in disturbingly poor performance.

Moises Caicedo opened the scores for the hosts after just 15 minutes, before three more goals before the hour mark condemned Ralf Rangnick’s side to a heavy defeat.

“The whole season has been like this, ups and downs, the downs have been too down, and we have one game left. We have to win that game and that’s everything we can do,” the midfielder told MUTV after our defeat to the Seagulls.

“The game is far away but we have to keep our focus, do our best and understand that last game is important for us, and we have to win it.”

Fernandes further sent a message to the supporters who made the long trip down south.

“As always, we have to be grateful, they have been through bad things seeing their club this season and as I said, they have been supporting us all through the season,” Bruno explained.

“As I said in another interview, if it was another club or another country, today probably could be more than empty our side and it was not like that, they support us until the end.

“Once again, thank you.”

United will next up face Crystal Palace in the last match of the season.
