Black Stars captain Andre Ayew wants the team to challenge highly-rated Brazil in their international friendly, Friday evening.
Ghana will play the South American giants on September 23 as part of preparations ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
According to Ayew, Brazil has a lot of quality and have several players at the top level in football but the Black Stars will put in their best against them.
“Brazil is currently, for me, the best in the world so we are playing against the best and we have to acknowledge that.
“They have players in the top top clubs, playing week in week out and winning trophies.
“We are not going to compare ourselves to them that will be making a mistake and lying to ourselves.
“But we are going to challenge them,” he said ahead of the game.
The experienced Ayew, who has featured in two World Cups added that the outcome of the match won’t determine their performance at the World Cup.
For him, the most important thing is to be ready for the tournament in Qatar.
“The results tomorrow will not tell us if we are going to have a good or bad World Cup, whatever the result is, with time and experience.
“We will learn that we have to be ready by 24th November,” he concluded.
After playing against Brazil, Ghana will play Nicaragua in Spain before playing against Switzerland in November.
