Bosnian side Sloga Doboj has announced the signing of Ghanaian forward Richmond Boakye Yiadom during the winter transfer window.
The 31-year-old signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with Sloga Doboj after passing his medical exams on Monday evening.
The former Black Stars forward becomes the most high-profile addition to the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina this season as the club seeks to strengthen its squad for the ongoing campaign.
“I want to focus on this club and its goals. I’m here for my team,” Boakye told the club’s media during his unveiling.
Club president Miroslav Kršić welcomed the experienced forward, expressing optimism about his impact on the team.
“With Boakye’s impressive pedigree, including past stints with clubs like Red Star Belgrade and Atalanta, Sloga hopes his arrival will provide the attacking spark needed to compete at the highest level of the Bosnian Premier League,” Kršić stated.
Boakye has immediately joined his new teammates for preparation as they travel to Kolos Kavolivka for a match at Kolos Stadium on February 2, 2025.
