Tano Bofoakwa’s skipper, Saaka Dauda, is set to part ways with the club after the conclusion of MTN FA Cup final on Saturday, June 22, 2024.
Saaka, together with the dismissed gaffer Frimpong Manso, led Bofoakwa Tano to the Ghana’s top flight prior to the commencement of the 2023/24 season.
However, Tano’s 16-year wait to be a constant feature amongst the elite ended disappointingly, with the club cantering to the access bank Division One League after one season.
Bofoakwa Tano’s 17th League-placed finish ended hopes of maintaining their Premier League status, with the team set to pay the price for being relegated as skipper Saaka Dauda is pursued by other top clubs.
The 24-year-old Dauda was the recipient of August’s NASCO Player of the Month, together with former coach Frimpong Manso after the team made a blistering start to life in the League.
Manso was dismissed before the turn of the year after a brawl unfolded in the Bono Derby with Nsoarreman in the league, John Eduafor replacing him and Dauda managing to find the back of the net 8 times throughout a disappointing season.
