The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that the Black Stars will not be awarded any financial bonuses for their upcoming international friendlies against Japan and South Korea.
Communications Director Henry Asante Twum told Asempa FM that the players will only receive daily allowances during the tour. “No winning bonuses for Black Stars players for the Japan and South Korea friendly games; only per diems,” he said.
Asante Twum also revealed that the costs of the tour are fully covered by the host nations. “These games for the Black Stars are funded by the host countries, i.e., Japan and South Korea,” he added.
Head coach Otto Addo has named a 22-man squad for the tour, with 18 players already in camp in Nagoya. The remaining squad members are expected to join today ahead of the team’s first training session on November 12, in preparation for the Kirin Cup clash against Japan on Friday, November 14.
