Former Ghana goalkeeper, Richard Kingston is positive the Black Stars will win the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations trophy.
The AFCON trophy has eluded Ghana for the pass four decades, having last won in 1982.
The Black Stars have come close to ending the drought in 2010 Angola, losing to Egypt in the finals and in 2015 Equatorial Guinea- Gabon as the Stars lost to Ivory Coast on penalty shootout.
Speaking on Akoma FM, the former goalie is positive the team will annex the title to be staged next year.
“I am a man of faith and I know we are going to qualify for the next AFCON and also looking forward that Ghana wins the trophy,” Kingston said.
“For the qualification, I know we will secure it but I’m also thinking about winning the AFCON and bringing the Cup home.
“We have to work towards it and surely with faith Ghana will win it.”
Ghana will engage Angola in 2024 AFCON qualifiers this month in the Baba Yara Stadium .
