Black Stars poster boy Mohammed Kudus shockingly snubbed for CAF Young Player award

Talented Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus has been shockingly snubbed by CAF for the continent’s Young Player of the Year award.

The Ajax star in truth did not have the best of seasons with his club but still managed to establish himself as one of the best youngsters on the continent.

Despite his injuries during the 2021/22 football season, Mohammed Kudus proved his worth for his team anytime he was fit and had the chance to play.

In the end, he contributed to helping Ajax to finish the season as champions of the Dutch Eredivisie.

In addition to his club football, Mohammed Kudus maintained his standard as the poster boy for the Black Stars, playing crucial roles in both legs of the qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup against Nigeria.

Unfortunately, the club success and the fact that he helped Ghana to qualify for the World Cup has not been enough to earn him a place in the shortlist for the 2022 CAF Young Player of the Year award.

Find attached the full shortlist featuring Black Stars youngster Kamaldeen Sulemana.
