Black Stars new boy Antoine Semenyo joins teammates ahead of Afcon 2023 qualifiers

Black Stars new boy Antoine Semenyo has joined his teammates ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers and pre-World Cup friendlies.

The 23-year-old joins the national team for the first time and is one of the debutants in Ghana coach Otto Addo’s thirty-three man squad.

Semenyo was supposed to join the team in March for the crucial 2022 World Cup playoff against Nigeria, but he was unable to do so due to injury.

The Bristol City attacker has arrived in Ghana from the UK to join the team’s training camp. Semenyo was seen in the Alisa Hotel, where the squad is staying.

The Black Stars will report to camp today, with training taking place behind closed doors.

On June 1, Ghana will face Madagascar in their first Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
