The Black Stars of Ghana have seen a significant improvement in the latest rankings released by FIFA.
The rankings, which were released on Thursday, June 20th, saw Ghana jump from 68th to 64th globally while climbing 12th in Africa.
This significant improvement followed the Black Stars’ back-to-back wins against Mali and the Central African Republic in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers earlier in June.
The four-time African champions recorded a 2-1 victory against Mali in Bamako and a 4-3 win over the Central African Republic at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
On the global stage, Argentina remains at the top of the rankings, followed closely by France and Belgium.
The Black Stars’ recent performances have revitalized the team, instilling hope and confidence as they aim for further success in the upcoming qualifiers and competitions.
The team will soon begin preparations for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers in September.
