Head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo, along with assistants John Paintsil and Fatau Dauda, were involved in a car accident on the Tarkwa-Takoradi road on Saturday.
The trio was returning to Accra after attending the FC Samartex vs. Nsoatreman FC match at the TNA Sports Stadium.
However, the issue was not fatal as the coaching staff escaped with only minor injuries, as evidenced by images and a video shared on social media.
In the video, a voice believed to be John Paintsil’s confirms that they were shaken but fortunate to have avoided major harm.
The team was heading back to Accra to open camp for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola on September 5, 2024, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
