The Black Starlets, on Thursday, recorded a 5-0 win over Accra-based Golden Boys Academy at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram in a preparatory game.

Goals from Godfred Sarpong, Benjamin Hanson and Narbi Joseph in the first half set the tone for what would turn out to be a demolition exercise by the Black Starlets.

Sarpong scored again in the second half with Ebenezer Annan adding another to wrap up the game as the Starlets kept a clean sheet.

Sarpong’s goal, coming just 14 seconds into the game, unsettled their opponents before Hanson doubled the lead on the 19th minute. Joseph Narbi scored the third goal on the stroke of half time.

Ebenezer Annan fired home the 4th goal for the Black Starlets five minutes after the break to take the tally to 4-0.

Godfred Sarpong registered his 2nd goal of the day to take the tally to 5 on the 75th minute.

The game forms part of preparations being undertaken by the Black Starlets ahead of the U17 WAFU Zone B tournament to be played in Accra in May of this year.

Laryea Kingston’s side remain unbeaten in their preparatory games having recorded 7 wins and a draw.

The Starlets are expected to be in Russia in the middle of next month for a 4-nation tournament.
