Black Starlets hold final training session ahead of third-place game

The Black Starlets held a final training session on Thursday morning ahead of the third-place match against Ivory Coast in the WAFU-B U17 tournament on Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The junior national team missed out of qualification to final match and book a slot in the 2023 African U17 Championship after losing 1-0 to Burkina Faso in the semi-finals on Tuesday.

Ghana however has another chance to finish the competition on some positive note when they take on their Ivorian counterparts.

Ahead of the play-off game, Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin and his charges had their last training session at the Cape Coast Stadium on Thursday.

Captain Collins Agyemang and Yakubu Adams who both suffered injuries in the last match against Burkina Faso were unable to take part in the session and could miss the match.

The match between Ghana and Ivory Coast will kick off at 3:00pm with Nigeria taking on Burkina Faso in the final match later on Friday.
