Ghana’s Black Queens will face Ivory Coast in an international friendly as they prepare for the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The team’s coach, Kim Lars Bjorkegren, wants to use the friendly to improve their performance ahead of the continental showpiece.
“We think that we can have more control of the game so there will be some changes.” Kim said.
“We felt that we were creating more chances but we felt that we were, position-wise, not in the right spot for the build-up so that can be a little bit better.”
The Queens open their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament against defending champions South Africa on July 7, 2025 in Group C before subsequently Mali and Tanzania.
