Under the guidance of head coach Kim Lars Björkegren, the team is looking to build on their impressive semi-final finish at the 2024 WAFCON.

The squad, which features a mix of experienced players and newcomers, has been put through a rigorous training regimen in Birmingham.

Notable players include captain Portia Boakye, midfielder Evelyn Badu, and forward Doris Boaduwaa.

France-born Bénédicte Simon has also earned her maiden call-up, showcasing the team’s commitment to scouting talent globally.

This friendly provides an excellent opportunity for the Black Queens to test their skills against one of the world’s top-ranked teams and reigning European champions.

The match is also a crucial step in their preparations for the 2026 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
