Black Maidens qualify for 2024 WAFU Zone B U17 Girls Cup finals

Ghana’s Black Maidens have secured a spot in the finals of the 2024 WAFU Zone B U17 Girls Cup after a resounding 5-0 victory over Ivory Coast in the semi-finals on Thursday.

The crucial encounter was held at Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence as the host showcase their attacking prowess to their opponents.

Christana Ashiaku opened the scoring for Ghana in just 14 minutes.

Ashiaku didn’t stop there she netted two more goals in quick succession to complete a first-half hat-trick.

After the break Zipporah Ayantoya and Seidatu Wahab both scored as Ghana finish the game with the big win.

The Black Maidens will now face the winner of the second semi-final match between Nigeria and Benin, scheduled to take place later tonight.
