betPawa Premier League: Legon Cities face off with Karela United Friday

The betPawa Premier League continues this weekend with the match between Legon Cities and Karela United FC kicking us off on Friday, December 30 at the WAFA Park in Sogakope.

The home team sit 6th in the League log with 14 points with just five points separating them from leaders Aduana FC who are first in the table with 19 points. The Royals beat Kotoku Royals 3-0 in a Matchday 9 fixture to take their away victories to three in five outings – also moving to the 6th spot.

Karela United are winless in their last four games, losing two and drawing two and are currently in 15th place in the League log with 11 points. Karela United drew their last game at home against Medeama SC (1-1) and are winless in all their four away games this season as they head into the fixture without Coach Bismark Kobby Mensah who resigned last week.

Legon Cities go into the tie without three of their influential players, Jonah Attuquaye, Kofi Kordzi and Essu William – the trio are currently with the Black Galaxies in Egypt preparing for the 2022 CHAN tournament which later takes place in Algeria.

Karela United will also miss the services of center back Kwadwo Addai and right back Augustine Randolf for the same reason.

With their current run of form, Legon Cities will start as favourites having shown brilliance in the League thus far. The Royals have lost two home matches this season (against Medeama SC and Bibiani Gold Stars) but their current run of form put them in a very good position to pick all the spoils at home.

The match which is scheduled for 3pm kick off on Friday, December 30, will be shown live on Startimes Adepa channel 247.
