Hearts of Oak have suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat at the hands of Tamale City at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
Sampson Eduku struck twice around the half an hour mark before Mohammed Yahaya added the third.
Victor Aidoo pulled one back for Hearts of Oak in the 79th minute.
However, Isaac Mensah dented hope of a possible comeback with a superb header to to seal the win.
Tamale City still battle for relegation despite the victory while Hearts of Oak drop down to sixth with 42 points.
