Berekum Chelsea’s teenage sensation Kwesi Sorotu Badori is drawing heavy interest from clubs in Europe after a standout debut season in the Ghana Premier League.

The 17-year-old defensive midfielder has started 28 of Chelsea’s 33 matches in the ongoing 2024/25 campaign.

Though he’s scored just once, his consistent performances and maturity on the ball have made him one of the most sought-after young talents on the continent.

Reports had linked Sorotu with a pre-contract agreement with Swiss side FC Basel, but sources close to the player have dismissed those claims.

Scouts from several European clubs are said to be monitoring his progress closely, with growing speculation about a possible summer move.

Despite the uncertainty, Berekum Chelsea are keen to keep hold of their midfield gem for at least another season.

Whether he stays or leaves, Sorotu’s rise is one of the standout stories of the current Ghana Premier League season.
