Ghanaian forward Benjamin Nyarko has completed a permanent move to Austrian 2. Liga club Admira Wacker from Slovan Liberec.
The 22-year-old signed for the club on 15 July 2026, returning to Austrian football after his spell in the Czech Republic. Admira Wacker have not disclosed the financial or contractual details of the transfer.
Nyarko arrives in southern Vienna as a right-footed centre-forward, giving Admira Wacker another attacking option for the new campaign. His move follows a period with Slovan Liberec, during which he also spent time on loan at Czech club Teplice last season.
The transfer represents Nyarko’s first permanent move into Austrian professional football since his earlier involvement in the country’s regional leagues. He will continue his career in Modling with a club competing in Austria’s second tier.
Standing at 1.80m, Nyarko has developed his career across a number of Central European competitions. His experience includes appearances in the Czech second tier, the Austrian 2. Liga and domestic cup football.
Across league and cup matches, the forward has made more than 70 senior appearances. He has contributed both goals and assists in each of the countries in which he has played.
Nyarko joined Slovan Liberec in 2024 after spending the previous season with SV Lafnitz. His performances for the Austrian club, including goals in league and cup competitions, helped attract the attention of Liberec and led to his move to the Czech Republic.
The switch to Admira Wacker now brings his time with Slovan Liberec to an end on a permanent basis. It also marks a return to Austria, where his earlier form with SV Lafnitz had helped establish him as an attacking player with experience of both Austrian and Czech football.
Admira Wacker have secured a forward familiar with both the Austrian 2. Liga and Czech football, while Nyarko gains the opportunity to continue his development in Austria after playing for Slovan Liberec and Teplice.
