Ghana Football Association Communications Director, Henry Asante Twum, has urged Hearts of Oak fans not to panic over goalkeeper Benjamin Asare’s recent mistake against Holy Stars.
According to Twum, Asare will learn from the error and move forward.
“I think Benjamin will learn from his mistakes. I don’t think it is time for Hearts of Oak fans to panic,” Twum said on tv3’s Sports station, emphasizing that mistakes are an inevitable part of the game.
“These things happen. All the top goalkeepers in the world make mistakes.” Twum pointed out that one mistake in eight matches is not a cause for concern, stressing that the key factor is how Asare recovers from the error.
Twum expressed confidence in Asare’s ability to bounce back, saying, “I believe he has the capacity and competence and the ability to get back to where we all know him to be.” The GFA Communications Director’s comments are a vote of confidence in Asare’s abilities and a call for fans to remain patient and supportive as the goalkeeper looks to regain his form.
Asare has thus kept five clean sheet for the Phobians and remains a core part of the Black Stars squad.
