Bechem United goalkeeper Benjamin Asiedu says he remains focused and grounded despite his impressive performance against Medeama SC in their Week 11 Ghana Premier League clash.
Asiedu delivered a commanding display at the TnA Stadium on Saturday, pulling off several key saves that helped the Hunters secure a valuable point in the goalless draw.
Reflecting on his performance, the goalkeeper said he is proud of his contribution but will continue working hard to avoid complacency.
“I’m proud of myself. I will keep my head down and continue working hard in the upcoming games. I don’t want to be complacent,” he said after the match.
Despite being one of the standout players on the pitch, Asiedu missed out on the Man of the Match award, which went to Medeama midfielder Salim Adams.
While slightly disappointed, he accepted the decision with maturity.
“I’m disappointed, but I respect the decision. Although I didn’t win the Man of the Match, I’m not disappointed with my performance,” Asiedu noted.
Bechem United will hope the in-form goalkeeper continues his fine run as they prepare for their next league fixture.
