Ghana Premier League side Bechem United have officially announced the appointment of veteran coach Kobina Amissah as their new head coach.
Amissah takes over from Stephen Desmond-Issah Botchway, who was sacked on November 3. Bechem United had a tough start to the season, managing only one win in eight matches, drawing three and losing four.
The experienced tactician has a reputation for turning clubs around, having guided Bibiani Gold Stars to promotion to the Ghana Premier League.
Amissah’s appointment is seen as a boost to the team’s fortunes, and he has already begun work, preparing the team for their next match against Young Apostles on November 9.
“Let’s welcome him and get ready for an exciting journey ahead,” Bechem United posted on social media. Amissah’s first challenge will be to guide the team to a win against Young Apostles at the Wenchi Sports Stadium.
With his wealth of experience, fans are hopeful that Amissah can lead Bechem United to better results and push for a top-flight finish.
