Bayern Munich eyes Spanish Ghanaian winger Nico Williams for summer transfer

Bayern Munich is reportedly considering a summer transfer for Nico Williams, the Spanish-born Ghanaian left winger who is set to participate in the upcoming European Championship.

According to sources at Relevo, Williams’ name has been a topic of discussion within Bayern’s management for several weeks.

The 21-year-old winger is currently under contract with Athletic Club Bilbao until 2027, and his transfer is not expected to come cheap. Reports suggest that a fixed transfer fee of just under 60 million euros would be required to secure Williams’ services. This is a similar amount to what Bayern would reportedly have to pay for Dani Olmo, another transfer target from RB Leipzig.

Despite the interest from Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona, who have been courting him for some time, Williams himself is in no rush to decide his future. The attacker, who has 13 caps for the Spanish national team and has scored two goals, is focused on the upcoming European Championship.

Nico Williams made 31 appearances, scored five goals and assisted eleven in La Liga this season.
