Bayern Munich director responds to Cristiano Ronaldo links

Bayern Munich director Hasan Salihamidzic has responded to speculations linking Cristiano Ronaldo to a move to Bundesliga giants.

Ronaldo returned to United last summer from Juventus and has endured a disappointing season back at Old Trafford, with the club securing the lowest points tally since the Premier League’s inauguration back in 1992.

Speaking to Sky Germany, Hasan played down talk that Bayern want to sign Ronaldo this summer.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is a top player with an outstanding career,” he said.

“However, stories on a potential deal with Bayern are not true. These rumours have no truth,” he concluded.

The Bavarians have already secured the signature of Sadio Mane from Liverpool for a reported fee of £35m.

The future of Robert Lewandowski remains up in the air however as Barcelona continue their push for the want-away star striker.
