Ghanaian defender Banabas Tagoe has secured a permanent move to Swedish third-tier club IF Karlstad Fotboll during the winter transfer window.
The 21-year-old left-back joins Karlstad from top-flight giants Malmö FF after struggling to cement a regular place in the senior side.
Tagoe previously spent two seasons on loan with BK Olympic, gaining valuable experience in the lower divisions before completing his exit from Malmö.
Confirming the deal, IF Karlstad announced his arrival as their second signing of the season.
”We welcome the second new signing of the season to Karlstad Fotboll. It is the 21-year-old defender Banabas Tagoe who joins from Malmö FF.
”Banabas joined “di himmelsblå” in the summer of 2023 and has been on loan to BK Olympic for two seasons.
He has one appearance in the MFF on his track record. Now there will be a transfer to Karlstad Fotboll.
Tagoe, who is the son of former Hearts of Oak defender Joe Tagoe, will be hoping the move helps relaunch his career.
