The National Sports Authority (NSA) has confirmed that the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi will be ready to host Ghana’s opening 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Angola on September 5.
Despite concerns about the stadium’s condition after hosting a recent five-day ‘Kumuyi’ Church program, the NSA has assured that necessary preparations have been made to ensure the venue is fit for the match.
“At the end of the day, we will come back to say that yes, prudently, we have managed the little resources from the Kumuyi program,” Baa told Luv FM Sports.
“We have been able to cater for our water bills, electricity and all manner of people working day in day out to ensure your dear Baba Yara Stadium is at a point where we can all be very proud of.”
The Baba Yara Stadium is also set to serve as the home ground for Asante Kotoko in the upcoming Ghana Premier League season
