Leicester City forward Jordan Ayew has challenged his teammates to channel their dramatic win over West Bromwich Albion into a positive run of results in the Championship.
The Foxes snatched a 2-1 victory thanks to a stoppage-time strike from Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, sealing all three points at the King Power Stadium.
Ayew, who opened the scoring on the night, believes the focus must now shift beyond one emotional victory.
“We need to start the year well, and you know, what happened is in the past,” he said.
“We need to focus on what’s ahead of us, and today was the first step. Hopefully, we can go on a run.”
Leicester have endured an inconsistent campaign so far, a situation that leaves them sitting 12th on the league table.
Ayew is hopeful that the spirit shown in the comeback can serve as a turning point in their push up the Championship standings.
